Hook a rope and a buoy to the handle. (the tab will not float. Like Jack in titanic.)
Do not attach this rope to your boat. It’s not necessary. Simply lay the rope and buoy on the sun deck, or somewhere it can break away if the surf tab comes off (if you make sure it’s stuck on decently, it will not break free. This is more for when you forget it’s on the side and the driver goes mach 3 to turn around and pick up the downed surfer)
Stick it on the side of your boat in the rear most flank, opposite side that you’re surfing on, at the lowest point underwater.
Some say to stick them at the water line but it’s more effective and throws less water into your boat the lower you are able to place it.
Make sure it’s stuck to a fairly flat surface on your hull, and avoid any large decals or stickers that will prevent the suction cup from losing it’s negative pressure.
Fill your ballast evenly, especially in the rear.
Drive about 10mph.
And boom. Your boat is throwing a larger, cleaner wake.
